Shortcut for going from local adjustments back to the Basic palette?

I usually hit the K key twice, but just thought I'd see if there is a recommendation for a better approach.

Nothing "better" TBMK. but-
[ K ] does toggle the Brush on/off, or you can:
Press [Return/Enter] , or mouse-click the Brush icon, or mouse-click another tool to swap to that tool.
