Short cut key for aplying presets?

When I first look at images imported into LR I always do command-U for auto tone and see if I want to keep that or not, and likewise I always apply the General-Punch preset and see if I want it or not. It would be much quicker to do the latter using keystrokes. Is there such a shortcut? I suspect not...

The reason I don't want to apply these automatically when importing is that I like to apply them manually and then potentially reverse them if I don't like them.

No, no keyboard shortcuts for presets unless you use something like RPGKeys. You could apply it to all the images using the Quick Develop panel and Grid view, and then it would be easy to undo that history step when you get to each image.
