Sharpening & HTML gallery

I have a couple of newbie questions to which I would be grateful to have answered.

Firstly, does Lightroom v1.1 automatically sharpen images that are selected for the HTML gallery?

Secondly, having placed images in a folder how do I drag multiple images into another folder? Sometimes by trial and error I get it to work, but more often I don't and when it does work I can't see what I did differently!

Arenaria, Welcome to the forums.

Don't know off hand about the sharpening, but I would guess the answer is no (other than any capture/creative sharpening you apply in the Develop Panel).

When dragging an image selection, be sure to drag by clicking on the actual thumbnail image, and not the grey bezel or frame. That's usually the problem.

And if you're really still on 1.1, you'll probably want to update to 1.4.1, which was the last 1.x free update.
