Setting up a Lightroom Gallery/ Advice needed

I am techno challenged and would be grateful for some step by step assistance

am wishing to set up a Lightroom Gallery for viewing for Family and Friends.

Googling has presented so many options that it is mind -boggling.

e g.

1.LRB Portfolio is a true customisable website in a gallery.

2. ProShow Plug-in for Lightroom

3. TTG LR Pages

4.TTG SHADOWBOX GALLERY 2.85

I am rather particular and would like to show off my photos within the best framework possible.

1. How do I set up a Gallery ?

2. Which of the above would be best for a professional looking outcome, and why?

3. What are the best practice steps to use?

I apologise for the work and time that may be involved in providing me the indepth information I need.

However, I would be grateful for the input.

And if I'm not mistaken, the Pro Show web slideshow requires that your visitors download a browser plugin module, which personally, I find to be a deal breaker.

just to confirm that Flickr's gallery would a good proposition for show my photos?

How long are the photos be allowed to remain on Flickr website?

Does anybody know the cost in Australian dollars for this privilege?

I use Picasa free version for my ballooning photos, there is 1gb free.

I think that Flickr keeps the pics as long as you have an account. I'm not exactly sure how Flickr handles the differences between their pro and free accounts. In a free account your photostream will have the 2'' most current images. The older ones don't go away, but I'm not quite sure how they are dealt with. I have a pro account, so I can't check it out.

The Pro account cost $25(USD) a year for unlimited use. That seemed like a better deal than Picasa's set limit pricing which I think starts at $4'. I don't know what the deal is in Australia.

It may not suit your purposes, but for me, it saves me the hassle of making a gallery and then having to deal with making prints for anyone who wants them. I have my permissions set so that my friends and family can order prints directly, and I don't have to deal with it.

On Flickr, free or pro, you have unlimited image space with images stored as long as you remain a member. The free and pro accounts differ in that there is a monthly upload limit on the free account. If you hit that limit, you have to wait until the next month to upload more. The Pro account is $25USD, but I'm not sure what that equates to in Aussie dollars.

As for the other galleries, I stand behind my TTG web engines, but that's because I made them. You can take that for what it's worth. The best way to decide for yourself is to examine the sample galleries and determine what you want your own site to look like.
