Set metadata to multiple photos

Hi,

Is it possible to set specific metadata value to multiple photos?

For example, I selected 5 photos and I want to set the "Location" metadata to United Kingdom.

I tried by doing like this:
- Select those 5 photos (using CTRL-CLICK)
- Type "United Kingdom" in the "Location" metadata

But the result only 1 photo.

Anyone know the correct way to do this?

Are you selecting from the Grid mode in Library or from the Filmstrip at the bottom?

I selected the photos from the filmstrip in the Library, at the bottom.

I tried it again, and now it works! I just don't understand.

I think I have to wait a bit ... until the metadata got value "<mixed>". After that, the value can be aplied to those selected photos.

It will work if using the Grid in the Library rather than the filmstrip.

Strange, this feature is hit and miss

It seems I cannot do it anymore. No matter what I did, the change only applied to 1 photo.

Even though all the photos are selected.

I just cannot understand why is this so difficult.

Select them in the grid.

Right, and the Metadata menu option "Show metadata for target photo only" must be de-selected
