I turned off automatic saving of changes a while ago and realised yesterday that I have been forgetting to press Ctrl-S when I finish an edit. So now I have a number of images scattered throughout various folders that have unsaved changes. I want to save the changes now but I'm not sure how LR handles this; does it act only on selected images when Ctrl-S is pressed or only on the current view? I guess to be sure I should use the All Images view and select all before hitting Ctrl-S; might take a while to process them all though.

Just use "All Photographs" and I think it only writes to those that require updating.

Thanks Geoff. I did that and it finished very quickly so it seems that only those that require updating were written. Just to be sure I selected all images and hit Ctrl-S again. It now seems to be writing for all files and is 16% done. Luckily I'm not in a hurry.

Are there any tricks you use to remind yourself to save after editing?

I use autowrite, with a memory like mine that works best!!
Doesn't seem to slow things down too much these days.

I think I'm going to turn it back on. Turning it off doesn't seem to have made too much difference in performance. Also I plan to treat myself to a nice little quad core box for Christmas so performance should be vastly improved by that.
