I have oppserved that regardless of the number of lines ( or full page) I have my mouse scroll sensitivity set to on XP LR1.2 only scrolls line by line. This is causing delays. There is a feature in Aperture that a continous scroll of grid can be set up and this and further clever scrolling such as the pdf feature called smart scroll or something similar whereby the after pushing the mouse button speed is determined buy position. CAn these be implemented and would others here like to see them?

Thanks for the tip Victoria.

I think we tend to develop too much dependence on scrolling with the mouse wheel and forget the way we did it before mice had wheels. Slow scrolling (with the wheel) in any application is easily remedied by dragging the scroll bar thumb instead.

Good to see you posting here Ronan.

I haven't tried scrolling with the mouse. I tend to move a whole page at a time instead. I'll have a play with that.

I'd be inclined to say there would need to be some way of caching thumbnails in advance to speed up scrolling overall too, before that would become really useful.

I wish for scroll handles in each end of the scroll bars, as well as the ability to scroll fast with my laptop touch pad (yes, it can scroll if you turn on that feature in Mac OS X - two fingers baby!)
