Please to be putting button/arrow to reverse scroll/sort order at top of scroll bar - thanking you:cheesy:

Why? - it's where it would be by convention (Mac) and so whee one look s for it automatically and therefore faster to use

Not saying remove from menu bar at bottom , just to add to top of scroll bar where you instinctively go first to scroll
Not suggesting putting it at bottom as it would get confused with the arrow for selecting menubar items

Merci beaucoup

I can't quite picture this. Can you give me an example of a standard MacOS tool that puts a "reverse" button at the top of the scroll bar? I just looked through Finder and iTunes and didn't see such a thing.

here ye go:;)

just realised it doesn't reverse the oerder it shoots you to the bottom (same thing to my feeble mind)

Either would do I guess( or both)

Just want a quick way to get to the bottom ( don't we all )

No, you're right, those arrows reverse the sort order. It jumps to the bottom because it wants to keep your current focus point on the screen.

However, those aren't on the scrollbar -- they're on the column headers. They are the functional equivalent of selecting your sort criteria in the Lightroom's toolbar, just in a different place.

well.. I still want the function so I'll keep it as a request;)

Then I guess I don't understand your request.

In the Apple Mail screenshot you posted, you've got a multi-column table. It is a common UI model for these to be able to click on any column heading to sort by that column, and click on the attached triangle to reverse the sort order.

Lightroom doesn't have a multi-column table. There are no column headings to click. So what precisely are you asking for?

lets forget for a minute whether other apps do or don't have what IM asking ofor, it;s just confusing the issue

I'm asking for a button/arrow at the same location as, or very very near to the scroll bar (or whatever its called) i.e at the top or bottom of it, but preferably at the top, which at a click will enable me to reverse the display order

So when I am in a folder with thousands of shots and have been working near the bottom of it , but have had to check another folder then used the 'back' arrow to return to this folder, I want to at one click get back to the bottom of it, and I want to be able to do it quickly as I may need to do it lot as I sort the large folder:)

Put very simply I want another 'sort direction ' button, but at the top of the scroll slider.

The "I want to get back to where I was" request is common; we all need to go off and check elsewhere then return. Perhaps a better feature would be that every folder and collection remembered the grid location last used and the photos selected. We then wouldn't have to resort to the sort work around to do what we want.

Simon, hit T to show the toolbar - there's an A-Z button with arrows which will reverse the sort order. It's not quite what you're looking for, but it might solve your problem in the meantime.

maybe. to some extent the back arrow will work, but not ideal

Hi V, I do use that a-z reverse button but it's an extra step everytime

returning to the folde invariably requires using the scroll bar so I just think it'd be great to have it there,, waiting...
