I am stumped by this... I have read through tons of forums posts but I can't find any solution. The photos I export from Lightroom look less saturated. I am using OS X 1'.6. I have a Spyder 3 Pro, but I tried uninstalling it and using the factory profile in colorsync, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Using the factory calibration does seem to make the difference less pronounced.

I am shooting with a Canon 5'D in RAW, importing that into Lightroom 2.5 and then exporting into a sRGB JPG. When I view the file in Firefox 3.5, the photos appear to be less saturated. When I view them in Safari, they match lightroom exactly. I thought FF 3.5 was color managed? Shouldn't they match Safari exactly?

What should I try? I want to be able to proof how things will appear in sRGB since I will only be exporting to the web. Any advice would be great. I am missing something in my workflow? Does firefox not handle colorsync device profiles on the mac?

Don't know for sure. I know FF not only changed its default settings between 3.' and 3.5, but also changed from ICCv4 capable, back to ICCv2 only. This could be the difference, although, I think Lr outputs ICCv2 anyway. I would verify that you have 'full color management' turned on in FF. Here's a post with instructions, about halfway down the page. http://blog.patyuen.com/2''9/'7/'4/firefox-35-and-color-management/

Lukekb, welcome to the forum.

What is your setting of gfx.color_management.mode and gfx.color_management.display_profile (type about:config in URL-Line).

Also, be aware that Firefox 3.5 cannot handle ICC V4 profiles. So if you have an option with Spyder 3 Pro to create an ICC V2 profile, you should use this.

Ok... I figured out what it is. Turns out that Firefox 3.5 for the Mac does not automatically detect monitor profiles. If you are using some sort of color profile other than sRGB, Firefox is going to mess it up.

If you are using a Monitor Profile on a Mac you have have to tell Firefox where your profile is.

Type about:config in the location bar
I added the exact path to my monitor profile to gfx.color_management.display_profile, then set gfx.color_management.mode to 1, I get the same behaviour as before.

The color profile path for me is, fyi.
