I like slideshows and, as anyone who's followed my "ipairs" thread knows, I've had problems with getting LR to properly create slideshows.
I know people who use Mac's who just love the German program Fotomagico for doing slideshows and it's fairly reasonably priced given how smooth and well thought out a program it seems to be.
But, when I tried the demo version I initially was having all sorts of rotation problems with my images. Fotomagico thought it was related to the rotation tags that Canon uses on the XSi. A friend suggested that I might 'solve' the problem with a workaround--import my photos into PS, do a 'save as' to actually rotate the image and then import the images to Fotomagico. Perhaps if I were really functional in PS this wouldn't seem like a big deal (cause it does seem to work).
But, since I still am fooling with the trial version and not willing to plunk down my $ yet, what I'm wondering is, can't I simply make a collection in LR, export the collection to a desktop folder and then import to Fotomagico from there. In other words, will simply exporting to a desktop folder do the rotation that the images need?
If so, great.
If not, what am I missing here:?:
