Restoring Catalogue/ Collections/ Web Settings after a crash

I am new to this forum and unfortunately I have to introduce myself with a problem with a crash I had with my lightroom catalogue. Yesterday it crashed and basically would not allow me to use the old catalogue so I created a new one. Thankfully my photos uploaded fine but none of the collections or web information that I had worked so hard to set up were there. Is there a special thing I need to do to import the collections. I do have a Time Machine backup so I could go to an old Lightroom that has been saved since the one I had from yesterday on my desktop really doesn't work anymore. Diane, welcome and sorry for your woes.First thing is to look in the old (crashed) catalog folder and see if there is is a "catalog.lrcat.lock" file. If there is simply remove it and your catalog should open. Note that if there is also .journal file there also DO NOT remove that.If that doesn't work, you can try importing the old catalog into your new one using "Import from Catalog".Let us know how you get on!!
