I deleted my entire collection of more than 10,000 image files by mistake. Fortunately (hopefully) I have a complete Time Machine backup of every folder and file I deleted. That backup also includes a Lightroom backup and the optimized catalogue for those files. The image files were also deleted from my Adobe Cloud in the error. What is the process to restore from my backed up files and catalogues?

In Finder, Navgate to the location of the missing folder(s) Open TimeMachine and choose restore. Select the top level missing folder and follow the instructions. Once you have restored the missing folders, Open the master catalog file Lightroom Classic and verify that none of your master image files are missing.
If images are missing from the Adobe Cloud, you may need to add them back to the syncing collections or the “Synched Photos” special collection.

I'm able to restore the files to my AirBook. However, I'm lost when it comes to restoring everything that was erased from the Adobe cloud and my collections. Lightroom restored all of the images and then automatically began to synch, which wiped out the collections...but the synching continued overnight, and I can't figure out what exactly is happening. My synched albums which I access on my mobile devices (iPad and iPhone) are empty. Do I just allow this synch in progress to keep on "grinding" for days. I'm flummoxed.

The restored Lightroom Classic catalog has collections that were synced to the cloud and a Special collection of Synched photos. Lightroom Classic will continue syncing until every Synched collection has been restored to the cloud. You don’t need to do anything excep be patient and let Lightroom Classic restore the images to the cloud.

Thanks, it looks like it will take a few days at rate it is processing.

Depending upon how many images that need to sync from the LrC catalog, you could be right. Especially if you have a slow upload speed from your ISP.
