How do I reset Import Defaults? For some reason when I am in the import dialog, and choose "none" as my develop settings, I get some strange values from some older develop settings that I am no longer using. How do I get rid of them?

What strange values, specifically?
This is frequently caused by altering the default values. In Develop module with a problem image selected, try this:
First, at lower right of Develop Right Hand Panel, click the 'Reset' button. Does that fix the problem? If so, we'll need to know more about your import dialog settings probably.
If not, press and hold the Shift key, and then press 'Reset (Adobe)'. Does that fix the problem? If so, somehow your default settings have been changed. Press and hold alt/opt, and press 'Set Default...', in the resulting dialog, choose 'Restore Adobe Defualts'. Note you're also offered a chance to change the default to the current image settings, which is likely where the problem began.
If this is off the mark, let us know.....

Brad,

Thanks for that summary of key-codes.

As a newbie one aspect that daunts is the sheer number of multiple key-press combinations LR2 has - makes it less friendly and adds an element of non-intuitive mysteriousness in using it, especially when you accidentally hit a code and have to work out what happened! (Am an 6-toes+4-thumbs typist :icon_lol: )

Yeah, I can't remember them all, just that they exist. I have to fire up Lr and try them every time I post something like this, just to make sure I get it right. (Even then, it's about 8'/2' :) )
