I left LR6.14 a few months ago for LR Classic folder based and am re-developing my old RAW-files.
With new files I always start with the Adobe Color profile and press Auto to have something to start editing with.

In the old files there are already some adjustments done and my question is:
Do I have to reset the old ones before pressing Auto or can I just press Auto again to get optimized results?
I would be easier to just press Auto of course - I am talking about lots of photos here....... the first ones from my Canon 300D in 2004........

Hi

Auto on photos already processed will treat the Basic panel like it would from scratch, but won't touch any other panels you may have altered (such as HSL)

It'll also base its calculations on the cropped area should the image be cropped.

Hi,
Please make sure to also update to the latest process version when re-working older images imported with an old process version.
Be aware that the appearance may change by updating the process version.

Yes I noticed that the appearance changed drastically going from version 2 to 5 with a photo from 2004 taken with Canon EOS 20D........

Anyhow, it's worth to update the process since this is the only way to take advantage of the improved tools and performance added with later processes.
