A couple of weeks ago I was having problems with Lightroom 1.4.1 using OS X 1'.4.1.

I set up a number of test folders trying to solve the problem, which was eventually solved by updating to OS X 1'.5.2 and starting to use Image Ingester for verifing the images as they were imported to a folder on my machine's desktop and to do the DNG conversion (per an earlier question I had, I will also be using Image Ingester to use my file naming (©Vener_YYYYMMDD-####) as the files are run through Image Ingester). Once that process is finished I then import into Lr 1.4.1 and write them to a drive and a backup drive.

But now I am stuck with several of these test folders and I would to bring them back into my pre-established library structure . To be clear, this means that

a.) I want to move some folders from one location on a drive to another location on the same drive

b.) move some folders on one drive to another drive.

Any best methodology for accomplishing these tasks?

Ellis, are you saying that it's the files you want to move, not catalogs? If so, just import the files using the Move option. If it's settings, open the test catalog, select all and then Command S to save out settings. Then Import the files into your main catalog using Move.

Or use the Import Catalog command and then manually move the folders once inside Lightroom.

Thanks Sean,

seems obvious when I think about it but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
