Import Renaming with date

Exact Lightroom Version: Lightroom Classic version: 7.0.1 [ 1142117 ]

I am often unable to import to LR for a few days after capture. I like to rename on import "Date + File no" with the "date" being the date of capture rather than the date of import. Is this possible? I haven't found a way of editing the re-name templates to accommodate it.

Yes, that is possible. This is the example I use. It renames the file to my initials, followed by the date, time and the original file number. To create this, choose any preset and then use the selector again and choose 'Edit'. Then create this and save it with a different name.

Thanks Johan - I've done something similar but the date that is inserted is the "current date" (ie date of import) rather than the "capture date"
