I have (without thinking of it) renamed a bunch of files and some of these files were edited in Photoshop. The files now have the same name as the other files (date + custom text + sequence number) but the "-Edit" is lost.

Is there a way to get the "-Edit" back again and avoid it for other rename actions as I'm in the process of renaming all files to the above format.

When you look in the metadata panel, does the 'Original Filename' show the previous name, or have you renamed before that?

If it does, you can rename back to 'Original Filename' and then rename again with a date+custom text+sequence number+-Edit as the naming setup. It would mean separating off the edits before renaming though - I can't think of a way of keeping that part of the file name otherwise. Probably one for a feature request though Official Feature Request/Bug Report Form

Victoria, the files do have the "original filename" metadata so I can reverse the name change and do the renaming of these files manually. It is only about 15 files so that is not too much work.

I will also put in a request.

Thanks.
