Renaming F2 doesn't work.

This is a minor niggle, but the pulldown says 'Rename Photo" F2, and when I select F2, it does not give me a
pull down to type in the new name in. I have to use the Library and go to "rename photo" , and then the pull down
becomes available.
I am missing something here?

Hi Herb,

By default most of the function keys on a Mac keyboard are mapped to the system control functions not generic fx. To get a real F2 you have to also hold down the "fn" key at the same time. You can change this behavior in Keyboard pane in System Preferences.

Thanks to Louie for pointing this out. I guess early on I modified the keyboard defaults and forgot that Apple knows best and has different ideas about defaults for function keys. Here's a screenshot of the System Preferences to let the function keys behave as function keys:
