"Rename" Dialogue - Only shows "Custom"

LR 2 when I want to rename photos (F2) I have only one selection in the "File Name" line - "Custom" and then "Edit".

I seem to have thrown a switch somewhere that's closed off all the other options: Custom Name, Date - Filename, etc.

Can anyone tell me how to get back to the longer menu.

Hi Bill and welcome to the forum!

I don't know what you're running (please fill in your signature by going to the User CP link above) but on a Mac these live in two locations /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Filename Templates and Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Filename Templates. You should see a list something like the attached. Each of these becomes a selection in the dropdown list.

If they aren't there try copying them from the other location or restoring from a backup. Lastly, you could try a reinstall of Lightroom.

I'm looking for the place to enter details on OS, etc... must have a blind spot, but I'll find it yet.

Bill, upper left on forum toolbar, select User CP (Control Panel).
There's an edit signature option there.
