Is there a way to remove personal metadata (name etc.) when exporting photos?
I often find myself uploading stuff to web forums etc. and would like my name among other things removed from those photos, but LR 6.14 doesn't appear to have an option for this, or I haven't found it it.
These are the options I've found in the "Export" window:

This would simplify my workflow although I do have a workaround which I've used for years in case others here are wondering about the same thing.
It consists of a script in an Automator workflow. The script relies on EXIFtool which you have to install on the computer first.

So now I just export the images from Lightroom, then I drag & drop those files over to that Automator workflow icon in my Mac OSX dock which then removes all EXIF data and returns a "All EXIF data removed" confirmation dialog. I can easily check if the EXIF data has been removed or not by double-clicking an image which by default opens it in the Preview app (the "Tools"-"Shows inspector" menu displays this).
All this is on a Mac, but I suppose a similar solution could be made for Windows as well.

The ability to just export the images with all EXIF-data stripped from Lightroom to start with would be even better than the above workaround.
Is it somehow possible to run a script in conjunction with an export preset?

Option 1 and 2 will write only the copyright or copyright and contact fields into the exported file This is the minimum and all you really need to send to social media sites. Some Social Media sites strip off most if not all of the metadata on the files that save your image in their cloud.

And if you want to even remove your copyright/contact info you could use Jeffrey Friedl's Metadata Wrangler export plug-in, which allows you to customise what you want to include/exclude when exporting and thus allows you to exclude all metadata if desired.

Good to know. I always regarded the metadata export options as unfinished business.
