Just a question to people about color profiles and LR 1.4.

I recently purchased LR and switching over from Bridge and Adobe RAW. With that software I was able to remove color profiles but in LR when I export images I cannot export without a profile.

What do others do when the export jpg files?
I welcome any information.

The solution to that problem is probably not to eliminate the color profile. That will guarantee that it's off, while if you include it there's at least the possibility of getting it right!

If your clients are viewing in an uncalibrated, non-color-managed environment, then choose sRGB as the color profile and hope for the best (and encourage them to use color-managed viewing tools, and calibrate their monitors). But you may as well include the profile -- it's small, and will help those who can make use of it.

My thoughts exactly - thank you for the information.
By the way while I still have your attention what is the best hardware/software to calibrate a monitor with?
Medium priced one - I just want to get a feel for what others are using. I've heard Spyder is quite common and have a few different models available.
