For some reason LR has imported 2 copies of many files from my iPhone eg

IMG_2469.HEIC
IMG_24689-1.HEIC
etc

I thought that using the Duplicates 2 plug-in would find them but alas it finds none even though all the metadata is obviously identical

I then thought that using wildcards might help so I searched on:

IMG_????-1.HEIC
and then
IMG_*-1.HEIC

but it seems that wildcards don't work in LR Search? Is that correct?

I then tried
1.HEIC

but that brought up every file that ended with 1 so that didn't work. Is there any way I can search and find those duplicate files?

Thanks

Yes that worked! Many thanks. But is there any other way to search within the filename on LR?

How many ways do you need? This one works and quickly identifies all of the iPhone duplicates files in the same folder path. Without further investigation it does not distinguish whether the file without the "-1.HEIC" is present or if it has been previously deleted.

Fair point but I was thinking whether I could also use characters within the file name of my Fuji cameras. But when I play around with it it seems I can so it will probably be sufficient for my purposes. Thanks for your input.
