remove photos

I have lightroom 5 photos saved to an external hard drive. How do I get them off hard drive and save them somewhere else so i don't need lightroom to open them? Thanks for any help.

I’m not sure I understand your question. You never need Lightroom to open an image, other apps can do that too. If you mean open with Lightroom’s edits applied to them, then you need to export them from Lightroom as tiff, or jpeg. You can export them to any place you like.

I agree with Johan. More info is needed. What is your goal here? Working in another editor or working with the derivative of Lightroom's efforts?
