Hey

Anyone had any success with removing color cast?

I am struggling with high saturated/vibranced tweeked images on near by white areas of my images.

I see the local corrections in 2.' as giving us more control over this, by desaturation, but wonder what everyone thought of LR's capability.

Maybe a feature request?

Bit more info..

24mm, 1/2''sec, f/8, Iso 1''

Had to boost the Sat/Vib and lower the blue/purple luminosity to really get the sky punchy.

You could try the HSL Targeted Adjustment Tool (TAT) to pull down the saturation of only the blue in the those shadows, but that'll probably kill the punch you put into the sky.

Clearly, a full HSL LC is the way to go; it's on a lot of wish lists.

Yeah, this would be a difficult correction to make in 1.x or the 2.' public beta; there's just not quite enough control to do what you're trying to do here. (I'd do it not by eliminating the cast on the building, but by using Local Corrrections to punch up the sky without affecting the building in the first place).

That said, the reflection of the blue sky is real. If it weren't there, it would look unnatural.
