Hi - I am using LR 1.4, have been using it to upload all my photosessions to my website, and am now having a problem. The error says "remote disk error" and freezes between 55 and 65% complete. ???? I don't know how to fix this error. I even took the image quality down to 67%. i am using a flash template with just a few things changed - user preferences. My ftp connections work - I upload about 2 sessions a week or so. I have about 19' files going this time. I have uploaded more than that previously. Any ideas?? I will be greatly appreciated. - thank you.

The FTP in Lightroom in 1.41 is not the most robust. The remote disk error could be a number of things, but save yourself some heartache, Export the gallery and use a dedicated FTP. The FTP in V2 is definitely better.

Sean's right, the FTP isn't the most robust, nor does it provide the most informative error messages.

Today it was complaining because when I browsed for the upload directory, I'd accidentially clicked on a file instead of just a directory. I forget what the error was, but it was something obscure like "the resource doesn't exist" which made me think it had a problem finding the file.

I finally found the problem when I tried to switch directories to try it again.

That's one of the first things I try by the way, create a new directory and upload it there to see what happens. If that works, I'll use a different FTP program to delete the original directory and start over.
