with both curves reset, if I change the point curve and switch to the parametric curve, the parametric curve looks like the point curve. As i recall, previously it would still be in the reset state.
am I remembering incorrectly. I thought that previously the adjustments were independent.

In my Mac version the curves are independent, like before.

So it seems the Mac and Windows versions behave differently. I haven't seen this behavior described in the summary of the 9.4 changes. Seems like it is a bug.

Yes, i've got the same behaviour (Windows 10 , LR 9.4)
BUT,
If you change the parametric curve first , the point curve is unchanged !!
Very strange

Hi Bernard,
yes, i saw that same behavior. Previously, the different curves both affected the image, but they didn’t affect each other.

It works the old way (i.e. the curves are independent) in Lighroom (cloudy).

BUT, on Android, the curves seem to be "connected", as they are on Windows.

It's certainly inconsistent behaviour. In some sense, it kind of makes sense for both controls to show the effect on a single tone curve, so maybe Adobe is moving towards this behaviour in some future version of the software?

I doubt it. The tone curve can 'undo' any change the parametric curve has made, so from that perspective it would make sense. But vice versa this is not true, so 'one curve, two interfaces' wouldn't really work.

For anyone in the Apple world who wants to see what we're talking about, you can see the behaviour in this YouTube video (Pye Jirsa, Adorama), at the 10:00 minute mark:

He adjusts the point curve, then goes to the parametric curve, and you can see that the curve has retained its shape from the prior adjustments.
