Reject Flag

I have been using the "reject flag" to pare down some 2''' photos from a recent vacation by using the "x" key. However when I use the library filter>attributes>and then the three flag icons they all show the same photos. Flagged and unflagged photos. There must be a preference or setting that has gotten set inadvertently, but I can't find it. My goal is to click on the "black" flag, (assuming it is the rejected photos flag) and then have LR display the rejected photo thumbnails.

Any advice appreciated....

Are working from inside a folder or collection?

If you flag a photo in a collection, it wont reflect in an attribute search if you have switched to a folder.

I set the flag in a folder and am trying to use the flag attribute in the same folder???

Can you see the reject flag on the thumbnail in Grid view?

Also, please make sure you only have one selection (either Pick/Rejects/Unflagged) chosen in the attribute filter (the chosen filters are cumulative).

Yes I can see the reject icon in thumbnail view. I think I have now figured it out. The "cumulative" nature of the attributes filter was what was giving me grief. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Most appreciated.
