Hello.

I notice that the the "Clarity" effect is almost non-existent with increasing "Recovery". The sharpening controls also seem to be "less effective" (don't know how to put it) when Recovery is used.

Is this a known bug?

No, that's the way Recovery works. Think of it as rolling off the tone curve more in the highlights which reduces contrast. Clarity is increased local contrast. Contradictory effects.

Thanks. Well, I do understand how Recovery works, but still... I considered Recovery a "fix" tool while Clarity goes more into the "creative/appearance" section (for me:-). I kinda expected Clarity to behave similar, no matter how much Recovery I used, that's why I found this behaviour odd enough to wonder if it is a bug.

EDIT: it seems that it is tied to the camera. With Recovery at 1'', the Clarity slider has visually NO effect at all on my Fuji S5pro raw files. Not so with raw data from my old Nikon D7' - even with Recovery at 1'', the Clarity slider DOES have a visible effect on the image.
