Have a question about catalogs.
All of my Lightroom work is done from an external hard drive. I have all of my photo Folders listed under one catalog. I would like to reorganize so my question is this:
If I were to create a new Catalog for each Photo Folder (this would include any subfolders listed in the main Folder) would all the information that I have from Lightroom for that particular Folder follow into the Catalog?
Thanks for any help

Rarely is there a valid reason to split a catalog into multiple catalogs. There is no reason to ask for the instructions that I am about to give:
1. In your master catalog select the images for a photo folder.
2. Once selected, choose the Export as a Catalog function and let this generate a catalog containing just those selected images. The exported catalog will contain all of the edit adjustments for the selected images.
3. Repeat for any other photo folders that you want to have a separate catalog.

Note that Only in the master catalog can you use the Lightroom tools to search across all photo folders.
