WB temp and tint steps

I am used to work with PSE 7 and ACR to develop my RAW images. Just started to "play" and discover the Lightroom 2 which supposed to be better.
I have an initial problem with the Develop modul in the WB Temp and Tint.
In ACR when you move the slider or use the left - right arrows the numbers of steps go up or down in grades of 5' unit at time (I.E., from temp of 52'' to 525' etc. - while in Lightroom it moves by units of 5' but the numbers are different - there is no WB of 53'' but 5333.
In the tint - in ACR the units jump by 1 unit (17-18-19) while in Lightroom by units of 5 (13-18-23).
Why?
How could I change it?

Welcome to Lightroom Forums.

If using the keyboard, hold the Alt/Option key to move in smaller increments, or the Shift key to work in larger increments.

If using the mouse and the slider, you can make the panel wider for a little more resolution on the slider.

Mark,

Ctrl + Up Arrow / Ctrl + Down Arrow does not change the slider value in my LR 2.4, but increases / decreases flag status. I find this shortcut kind of dangerous in terms of changing something I didn't plan on doing.

I don't use it (cntrl key) because I just never think of it, but I believe you use the left/right keys to change slider values. Just like the direction of the slider.

Whoops, so sorry! It's the Alt/Option key for smaller increments. I've corrected the original post.
