Trouble finding images in windows explorer

I am new to the forum so I hope this post is not off topic. I have been importing images to LR for serveral weeks, and noticed this evening that some of the photos do not appear to exist in the folder where LR says they are located. This is only true for some of the photos I have imported. I have used the search function in explorer, for the entire c drive, and not found the file name(s) of interest. What is weird is I can process the file in LR and export the file as a large jpg so I don't think I am using just the preview data, but...

Hi Jim, welcome to the forum! Sorry, your post appears to have been missed during our software upgrade.

You can right click on any image in Lightroom and choose Show in Explorer and it'll take you to the file it's working on.
