problem importing photoshop files

being new to Lightroom i had previously set preferences in Photoshop to never maximize PSD compatability. i now have several hundred (at least) PSD files which must be individually opened, altered, and saved again with maximium compatibilty set so i may let lightroom see them. i guess i could write an action to do this but is there a better work-around? if LR 3 will see these files I will wait but i would like to get moving on this now. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

No, Lr 3beta won't handle them any differently, and I wouldn't expect any change for 3.x releases. No, I don't think there's an easy way, other than PS actions/droplets to reset the PSD compatibility.
