Hi!

I'm using Lightroom to organize my shots and for basic adjustments on my pictures. When I come to the point, where I need Photoshop for further editing, I export my picture using 'right click' --> 'edit with photoshop cs4' (or similar to that, i'm at work atm :))

Anyhow, is there a chance to save my further editings in the metadata of the picture in the lighroom catalog, too? Something like 're-import' to lightroom? Of course I could save my 'new' picture and import it in lightroom, but then I do have two versions in lightroom based on the same original picture. Do you know what I mean?

Is there any simple way, to re-import the further-edited picture back to lighroom?

thanks for any help :)

Hi Musharosky, welcome to the forum!

Once you've edited an image in PS, it's pixel based edits, so you can't just import those edits into the metadata of the existing image. The only thing you can do is import that pixel based image into your catalog, as you've noted, ending up with 2 versions in LR.
