Exporting Presets

Is there a way to export presets that are associated with a Lightroom catalog from one computer and importing them into Lightroom onto another computer?

In Vista (it's a littile different for XP) all of my preseta are stored in the folder: C:\Users\cletus\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom. I think this is by default (or at least where I decided would be the best place). You may copy all of the preset folders intact from one computer to another.

And by 'export presets' I assume you mean all presets not just "Export Presets"

pberg, welcome to the forums.

It's vital to note that by default, most of the files and folders in the path Cletus noted are 'hidden'. In either XP or Vista, go to Windows Control Panel, Classic View > Folder Options > View Tab > about 8 items down, enable the radio button on 'Show hidden files and folders'.

On XP, the path is sysdrive:Documents and Settings[your username]Application
DataAdobeLightroom.....

If you have ever elected, in Lr Preferences > Presets tab > Location panel, to 'Store Presets with Catalog' this info won't be correct.

Additionally, Presets which appear in the Left hand panels can be individually imported by right-clicking on the preset area. Individual presets can be exported by right clicking on the individual preset.

The quickest way to find them is to right-click on an existing preset and choose Show in Explorer/Finder
