easiest way to add small white border to prints

hi
when doing wedding-related print jobs, i have historically used an action in photoshop to increase the white canvas size of my pics which creates a white border. what's the best way of going about this in LR?
i'm currently thinking that LR-Mogrify's border options will do the trick but thought there may be an easier way. alternatively, it just occurred to me that the print-lab may be able to slightly reduce the size of my images to ensure there's a 2-3mm white border all the way round...but i wouldn't want them to degrade the file when doing this...
i will chat to them over the phone but pls do give your thoughts in the mean-time.

LR/Mogrify will certainly handle the job and is probably the most flexible solution if you're exporting files to send to the lab. Check with your lab though, as many can easily add a white border without altering the integrity of your image. Try a test print with and without borders and see if the lab does it right.
