RAW

hi, i am fairly new to lightroom and have been using it recently to upload directly from my Canon 5''. I cant seem to upload RAW files from my camera, Lightroom says that there is an error with the files? I am fairly sure that it has done it in the past....any ideas? im sure there is a massively obvious point that im missing!!

Tahoe, welcome to the forums.

This is a fairly common problem, which I think seems to come up a lot with those mid-generation dRebels. Of course the first workaround is a card reader. If not, I believe there are two settings within the camera itself for file transfer parameters, which I don't recall exactly (I'm searching as I type). Try choosing whichever one is not set. I think your Canon driver software has to be installed as well, verify the status of that.
