When you shoot RAW+JPEG is there any way to get lightroom to show you what JPEG looks like without importing them separately?

Thanks,
Evan

Only in the preview panel in the import module. AFAIK.

Geoff, will the "embedded & sidecar" option use the sidecar jpeg file as a preview? Or will it create a preview from that jpeg? The manual isn't very clear on this...

I can see how this page: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Lightroom/2.'/WSB5EF6E7A-CA74-43a5-9137-372'2D8EC28A.html
could be misinterpreted.
However "To display the largest possible preview available from the camera, choose Initial Previews > Embedded & Sidecar. This option may take longer than a Minimal preview but is still faster than rendering a standard-size preview." does say "preview available from the camera" which clearly means the camera generated jpeg or preview which is a jpeg anyway.
All the best.........
