I just bought a Canon 5D Mark II and shoot my first event with it. All images are on the card because I can thumbnail through them on the camera. I tried to import them onto my Mac (1'.4.11) with Lightroom (Version 1.4.1 Camera Raw 4.4.1) and I get an error message saying file is not recognized.

I have no problems with my 2'D Raw files. Just the 5D Mark II files. Is the trouble coming from the Raw 4.4.1 on Lightroom or is there an update or upgrade I need for the 5D files to work?

5D Camera setting is on SRAW2 File size is about 14 megs each.
Lightroom shows the thumbnails from the card on the Import module, when you try to import the image, it comes up with a message saying "The files appear to be unsupported or damaged. Other programs say file is not recognized.

If I have to change a setting or change a profile, can someone walk me through it step by step? Any answer right now will help. Thanks.

Two choices.
a) upgrade to Lr 2.3
b) download the standalone DNG converter, convert your raw images to DNG, and import those to Lightroom 1.4.1

Edit: Ooops, BTW welcome to the forums.

Brad, Thank you for the help. I went to the Adobe on-line store and downloaded the upgrade and now everything works again. At least now I know I have a place I can go to if I need help again. Thanks for the welcome to the forums. Have a great weekend.
