Raw from LR -> PS

Hi,

In "Tips 'n Tricks" I read a message from Jurgen.
I wanted to reply there, but the thread is closed (don't know why).

He pointed out a way to import a RAW/DNG from LR to PS.
Now what I want to know is: Can I make adjustements in PS and get the results (DNG or XMP) back in LR that way?

Hi Willem!

You can get the edited file back into LR but not as a RAW file. You can bring it back as a PSD, TIFF, etc. While you can also choose "raw" as a format this is not a true RAW file.

And as a matter of forum housekeeping, and to promote easier reading and searching, we generally reserve the Tips and Tricks for just the tip or trick*. Discussion of the tip or trick is of course welcomed in the other forums, just as you've done, Willem.


* One or two tips are composed of lists of references and resources, and are left open for addtional contributions.
