GRRRRRR!!! I have tried 3 times to buy the upgrade to LR2. I'm trying to buy it boxed and shiped to me. I check all the appropriate places and get to where I have to create an account (or whatever they call it). I fill in all the boxes, email, name, password, etc. and then get a stupid error box that just tells me there's an error. The damn thing doesn't tell what the error is, so how am I supposed to correct it. Does Adobe let their high school apprentices make these things up? Or maybe junior high?
Any ideas to help?

Sorry to hear that Ernie.

I can't comment on the ordering process - that's up to Adobe to sort out, and we'll leave the business end of things to them, so we'll close the rant here.

Workarounds for now though...

1. Try creating an account first - you probably already have one - and then try buying it.

2. If you want to screenshot the form and email it to me, I'm happy to see if I can spot the problem.

3. Order from somewhere else if you want the boxed version. Amazon usually have a discount on it.

Thanks Victoria. I guess I understand about closing the thread. You'd think someone as big as adobe would have a more user friendly web site, especially when it reaches the part where someone wants to buy something. I didn't know about Amazon, I'll try them.

Hi Ernie, my name's Jason McClelland- I'm the business development manager for Adobe's online stores, and I apologize for your experience. If you're still interested in purchasing from Adobe direct and the site's not working for you, please let me know and I can have a Call Center agent contact you. Also, if you did happen to screenshot that form error for Victoria, would you mind also sending it to me? I can chase down what happened and what we can do to make it a better user experience for other customers who encounter the same situation in the future. My e-mail's jasonmATadobeDOTcom.

Thanks for using LR and thanks for contributing to LR user forums!

Best,

~j

Welcome aboard Jason!

Jason, Welcome aboard. Glad someone from Adobe is watching here while Melissa is on Vacation! The more the merrier!

Thanks for stopping by,
Don
