Radius slider scale

I am trying to find out information about the LR sharpening radius scale. Some people insist it is still in pixels, as it would be in some conventional USM programs, but other people say that it is unrelated to the conventional rating. I have trouble seeing how it could be in pixels given that the increments are in steps of '.1 and the max is only 3. Can anyone clear this up? What do the numbers in LR actually mean?

Dan, Welcome to the forums.

I've never seen a clear explanation of that. I don't believe the Lr radius is 'exactly' in pixels.

In scanning several 1',''''s of old U2U and other posts I have archived, all I can come up with is Thomas Knoll quoting Mark Hamburg as saying that ''.5 in Lr is roughly '.35 in PS USM'.

Make of that what you will.
