Quickly go to most recent photos

Often when i open lightroom in grid view it begins in the oldest photos (as my photos are sorted by capture date) and so i have to scroll all the way down to the latest photos. This is quite annoying. Is there any way to go to the latest photo every time i open LR. Even pressing one button would be handy.

Reversing the sort order would do the trick - have a look on the Toolbar in Grid view (press T if you can't see it) and click the A-Z button.

Hi NDT! Welcome to the forum.

If you press the END key you will jump to the last image. Pressing the HOME key brings you to the first image.
