Hi
I shoot a lot of Hockey pictures, and white balance is always a challenge.
Can you select all and do the same edit to all the pictures in one motion.
Or do you have to edit each picture separately?
Like for instance, white balance?
Thanks

First, are you shooting RAW or JPG?

White Balance and other settings can be changed by selecting all pictures in Grid Mode of the Library Module under the Quick Develop panel and adjusting the WB with either the Pull-down box, or the Temperature and Tint Controls. If you shoot RAW you will have more options in the Pull-down box.

You can also adjust WB in the Develop module and Sync it to other images using the Sync Button at the bottom of the RH panel set. Again you have more options and greater latitude to change if you are shooting RAW.

I shoot in both.
That makes it easier.
Now does this work for all adjustments?
Thanks for the help.

Shooting both means that you will have a RAW file. White balance applies nicely to RAW files as they have no 'native' white balance. This means you can try different white balances without running the risk of twice-cooking those files.

JPG has had a White Balance pre-applied in the camera and though you can adjust it later in LR, those pixels have already been altered by a previous white balance application. You are essentially cooking the white balance it the file again and your result may not be as pretty as with the RAW File.

As Brad points out. Mulitple application via the Quick Develop or Syncing WB settings don't work well with Auto White Balance.

Thanks for the help.
