Question about "Show new replies to your posts"

This filter seems to function a bit differently than the old software where I advance searched the boards by "author" without entering any specific text and all of my posts were returned. With the new software, I do see threads I previously on that have new posts from other members, but some of my previous posts do not appear, even though some even older posts do. Is there some logic to how this function works that would help me better understand it?

What are you trying to accomplish exactly?

1. Find all of your posts/threads? Click on your name to show your profile and click Show Posts

2. Find threads that you've posted on, that have new replies? Go to the Show new replies to your posts.

Does that work for you?

Hi Victoria,

#2 works fine for me.

What I am having trouble with is #1. Sometimes I want to find an older thread where I recently posted, but which has no new posts from other members. When you suggest clicking on my name to show a profile, where on the screen is my name that you want me to click that will bring up my profile and a link to show my posts. Sorry for being so literal in my question, but I am still a bit unfamiliar with this new software.

Oh, I see what you mean! Ok, you can get to that either from any post you're looking at (your name in the column on the left) or if you scroll down to the bottom of the home page you'll see who's online, and you can click on your name there too.

The former would not work from the home page (which is where I usually begin), but the latter will do. I wonder if the software would allow some type of similar link at the top of the home page so as to avoid scrolling.

There's another one for Ian... turn your name on the top of the page into a link to your profile. Ian.........
