publishing a photo gallery to the web with albums

hello everyone.
this is a good tutorial and lightroom is pretty good.

the only thing i was wondering if anyone knew , was how I might be able to make gallery albums of photos to upload to the web.

for example an album called 'people' and an album called 'animals'.

where people has all the photos i take of people and animals has all animal photo in it.

on a web page, the two albums would sit beside each other with their names underneath, and if you click animals, you go to the animals photos.

btw, each album would have a random image as its thumbnail (or the first photo in the gallery)

does anyone know if lightroom can do this ?

Not by itself but you can try TTG Pages and TTG Stage. A small cost for each. You can find them at:

TTG is a nice answer. I do it myself with TTG Pages and TTG Highslide Gallery Pro. At each visit to the list of galleries, there is a random photo taken from each gallerie to be used as a thumbnail as you asked for. Viewers commented to me that they were impressed by this change at each page loading...
