I am working on my personal website which is due to launch before the end of the year. I have built a custom photo gallery which uses Flickr as the backend. I use Lightroom and jFriedl's Flickr Publish plugin to publish the photos from Lightroom to Flickr which my site then accesses via Flickr's API.

I have just added a major feature to the site but for it to actually work correctly I need to add one or two keywords to each photo in Lightroom. Obviously adding the keyword requires the photo to be republished. As the image itself has not changed is there a way to only update the metadata? This would significantly speed up this entire process.

Using LR Classic 8.4.1 on latest version of Catalina.

Thanks,
Neil

I don't have that plug-in installed, but I believe Jeffrey had an option to only update the metadata. I know this is true for some of his Plug-ins. It is possible that Flickr changed their rules and are now forcing a republish.
Hmmm ok. I wonder how I can find out? I've been through the plugin options and cannot see that choice.

Got it!

There is a "Resend metadata to Flickr" feature in the "Plugin Extras" menu. Only suddenly thought to look there. It works perfectly! This will save many days of work and bandwidth!
