I recently upgraded my Mac OS from Catalina to 11.5.2 and my LR classic from 9 to 10.4. Everything fine except that with the R24-240 lens on my canon R5, the LR lens correction is turned on as default and a narrow band of distortion of the image resembling a multi coloured bar code is present to a variable degree along all 4 sides of the frame. I can turn off lens correction and the pattern disappears; but I think that I am probably also losing any profile correction. I can edit out the anomaly simply by an all round small crop; but I would prefer it if it all worked as it should. The rest of the image looks good.
I do NOT have the problem if I use the R5 body and adapter with any of my range of other canon lenses (24-70; 100-400 etc). It does NOT happen if I download an image taken with the R5 and R24-240 onto my laptop which is presently running Mac 10.13.6 and LR 9.
So it looks like an interaction specific - from the combinations I am able to test - to the 24-240 lens and either the upgraded Mac OS or upgraded LR.
Any suggestions?
