Problems with LR/Photoshop integration

I have problems wit the integration between LR and Photoshop. After in edited a photo in Photoshop en come back to LR my psd-file doesn't appear in LR. I have to synchonize my folder to get the psd-file in my Library. Anyone an idea? I use CS3 and windows xp.

Welcome John.

What version of LR and PSCS? Try LR2.1RC, lots of fixes and PCSC needs to be a properly installed V1'.'.1.

You might want to fill in your Signature with basic info for the future. (Under User CP above).

Yes I use V1'.'.1. I have both in LR and PS the search for updates-option on and as soon there is an update I install it. The 2.1 is a RC and not an official update yet. I am afraid it is not tested well enough yet.

We have been using it for a while. It is better than buggy 2.'. You can have both on your machine. Just not open at once. Give it a try and see if it solves this for you.

Please add System, OS, and LR versions to you Sig. Gear is nice to have to so you don't have to remember to add it to later posts. Checkout how some of the regulars have their Signatures, as in mine.

I had a similar problem with TIFF files. They showed up in LR2, but as if they were in a seperate folder. Installing LR2.1 solved this problem, and as Don said, you can have both on your pc/mac, which would limit the risk the rc might bring.

The short and sweet answer is:

If you want the CS3 integration to work right, upgrade to LR2.1.
If you don't want to upgrade to 2.1, then expect problems with CS3 integration.
