Problems with Auto-Import

Trying to set up my new Mac Book Pro with Auto-Import in LR 2.4. Created a "Watched" folder and a "destination" folder and enabled Auto-Import, and camera is tethered to computer. When I take the photograph it goes into the correct folders, but keeps bringing up the "Import" dialog box in LR. Once I click on the import tab the image is in LR, but not until then. On my old PC, it did not bring up the dialog box and just automatically imported the image in LR. Can anyone tell me what I am missing here?

Welcome... there is an issue with version 2.4 where by it opens the import dialogue box when a camera / reader is connected even when you have set it not to. I'm not sure if this could interfere with the normal tethering process. Maybe someone here can chime in or test it.

Welcome, that sure is an interesting one. The auto opening of the Import dialog mentioned by the badger is only PC AFAIK.I'm sure one of the other Gurus with tethering will test for you as I'm sorry I can't.

Does it work ok if you just drag an image into the folder from the desktop ?

I have the same problem... The import dialog appears all the time even if the auto import is set up. Is it a bug??? Is it set in LR 2.5??

It could well be a bug, but not a commonly seen one!! So please do fill in a bug report (the link is in the tool bar above) in a clear and well detailed manor. Cheers.......
