Problem with Picks

I noticed something strange with my LR today, I can filter pictures by Picks using the keywords tab on the left side of LR but not the collections tab.
Is LR really like this? Or is there some bug to fix this?

ceekster, this is likely caused by the fact that pick flags are 'local'. An image can have one pick flag in its original folder, and different pick flags for each collection in which it appears. This is by design, for example, an image may be a pick in "Brides Mother" collection, and a reject in "Groom's Mother". Color labels, and star ratings are global, and are the same for an individual image in all views.

Could this explain what you're seeing? Realizing, that browsing by keyword would show the images in their folder locations, and not in any collections they may be assigned to.

So if I use color flags and star ratings, it should work with both the collections and keywords?

It should, but you can also make new picks for the different situations. To have the same picks in Keywords and Collections (at least initially), make the picks in Folders and then create the Collection. Of course changes after that remain in the Collection/Folder/Keywords without affecting the others.

That's a new one for me. I didn't know that the pick flags were unique settings.

Does this mean if you decide to 'delete or remove' all of the rejected images, it will remove them across all collections, or only the current collection?

Only the ones in the current view, whether that's a collection, folder, keyword, etc.
